New VC Funds
- German growth-stage VC Cipio Partners launches its 8th fund to invest in B2B SaaS and software-enabled startups. The fund will invest from €5M to €15M in series A and beyond throughout Europe.
Madrid-based Seaya Ventures closes the first part of its new €300M sustainability fund. In the coming years, the firm will search for foodtech, agritech, the circular economy and green tech startups raising the Series A and above throughout Europe. - A new angel syndicate BADideas.fund comes together in search of early-stage startups. Throughout the upcoming year, the group plans to back 10 startups within business and software verticals and provide anywhere from €50k to €100k.
CEE Startup Funding Rounds
- Lithuanian payments infrastructure startup kevin. raises its €61M series A to scale up its team and enter new markets. The round was led by Accel and its earlier backers such as OTB Ventures, Speedinvest, OpenOcean, Global Paytech Ventures and a number of angels.
- Conversational AI and RPA startup automation startup Druid AI gets €14M in funding to scale in North America and Europe and further build up its core product. The round was led by Karma Ventures, Hoxton Ventures and was joined by Gapminder VC.
- Czech real-estate valuation and marketplace startup Valuo picks up an undisclosed amount from Pale Fire Capital with the goal of expanding abroad.
- Estonian cost and revenue intelligence company reiterate raises €1.25M to expand onto the UK market. The round was led by Hummingbird Ventures and a number of angels.
- Customer feedback and satisfaction platform Rating Captain finds a new investor in Tar Heel Capital Pathfinder. With the new money flowing in, the startup plans to further expand in the UK.
Startup Calls
- Bulgarian IT company Sirma partners up with Innovation Capital in launching a 3-month-long incubator for local startups. The applications are open for teams developing products within FinTech, Healthcare, Industry 4.0, Logistics, Automotive, or Hospitality sectors until the 31st of May.
- A pre-accelerator for Polish entrepreneurs - inQUBE partners up with Kulczyk’s InCredible to support local ecosystem. The applications are open till the 16th of May.
- Media coverage for Ukrainian startups - Flyer One Ventures is looking to highlight 20 startups across global media and investors. To get there startup teams should fill in this form by the 10th of May.
