- Munich-based HV Capital closes its ninth, €710M fund to continue backing European startups. The firm will invest in seed to Series D companies, putting anywhere from €500k to €60M.
- UK's Claret Capital Partners kickstarts a €72M Opportunity Fund. The firm will provide €1M to €50M of non-dilutive funding.
Startup Funding Rounds & Acquisitions
- Romanian co-found IT talent marketplace hackajob raises a $25M series B. The round was led by Volition Capital, joined by Axa Venture Partners, Foresight Group, and Future Fund.
- Czech insurtech Mutumutu gets acquired by KB Pojišťovna. The size of the transaction remains undisclosed yet the latest funding round of the startup has amounted to 100M Kč.
- Ukrainian serial entrepreneur Yegor Anchyshkin raises a $4,6M round for his robotics-as-a-service for e-commerce Instock. The round was co-led by One Way Ventures, Lux Capital, Commerce VC and joined by a number of business angels.
- Czech online therapy platform Hedepy gets 50M Kč to expand the business. The round was joined by Nation 1, Purple Ventures, and RSJ Investments, as well as Leoš Navrátil.
- Romanian workspace marketplace Pluria closes a $2M round to expand in Latin America and Eastern Europe. The round was led by Eleven Ventures, and joined by Germany-based Croton Capital, Romania-based WIT Angels Club, and US-based Phoenix Venture Fund, and business angels.
- Ukrainian information security platform OSavul gets $1M in funding to reinvest into product development. The round was led by SMRK VC.
- Croatian travel experience marketplace Turneo raises €800k round. The round was co-led by Ascension Ventures and Underline Ventures and joined by Silicon Gardens with a number of angel investors.
- Czech retail marketing platform Cruxo raises €800k round to invest in business development. The round was co-led by Presto Ventures has joined forces with Czech Founders VC and Zaka VC.
- Ukrainian social media recruitment platform Adsee receives a pre-seed investment to develop the product. The round was led by Jooble Ventures Lab.
- Ukrainian airport digitization startup InputSoft raises €250k round. The round was led by SID Venture Partners, joined by Sigma Software Labs and Torino Cities of the Future Techstars Accelerator.
- Romanian speech therapy platform VoxiKids raises €170k grant to invest in further product development. The grant was provided by the EEA and Norway Grants program.
Startup Calls
- Microsoft announces Pegasus incubation program for startups. The program provides $350k in Azure, GitHub, and LinkedIn credits as well as advisory support and “access to the best Microsoft tech". To be considered for the program, one's company should be already a part of Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub, have customer-facing products built on the Microsoft Cloud, as well as show early product-market fit like having revenues, sales team and a tested go-to-market model.
- Infoshare 2023 hosted in Gdańsk is finalizing the late sale of tickets for the event. The event will see a huge number of high-profile speakers from the venture and startup ecosystem, have a dedicated startup contest with up to €20K for the winners, and more.
