UK B2B sales startup trumpet secures $6.35M to expand into the US market

London-based digital salesroom startup trumpet, which offers interactive, collaborative, and auto-personalized spaces that centralize buyer journeys and expedite deal closures, has secured $6.35 million.

  • Launched in 2021 by Rory Sadler, Nick Telson-Sillett, and Andrew Webster, trumpet simplifies B2B sales by arranging deal details online, allowing sales teams to connect with buyers and close deals more smoothly, even when not directly involved. The platform centralizes all essential elements, including marketing content, demo recordings, proposals, and more.
  • To date, the platform has over 10,000 users, including prominent companies like Oyster, PayFit, Employment Hero, and CrossBeam.
  • According to trumpet, its platform has led to a 28% increase in revenue, shortened the sales cycle by 13%, boosted closed-won opportunities by 34%, and reduced the time spent on customer onboarding.

“We’re helping companies collaborate and centralise their buyer journey, increasing their sales efficiency and velocity. Our proprietary revenue intelligence signals are also helping revenue leaders forecast and understand their deal pipeline like never before," CEO and Co-founder, Rory Sadler, stated.

Details of the deal

  • The funding round was led by AlbionVC, a London-based venture capital firm managing $1 billion in funds and supporting over 50 companies. AlbionVC focuses on supporting early-stage software, healthcare, and deeptech startups across the UK.

“Rory, Nick, and Andrew have built one of the most exciting B2B platforms we have seen recently. Trumpet is elegantly designed and extremely easy to use and it’s already proving its effectiveness with global teams. I'm looking forward to working with the team as they expand and grow," Partner at AlbionVC, Paul Lehair, commented.

  • The investment also saw participation from Bern-based VC Lightbird, Anamcara, London-based Triple Point, and CoBuild Ventures.
  • With the raised capital, trumpet plans to expand into the US market and develop AI-driven revenue intelligence tools.
