Every month, Vestbee compiles a list of the most significant financial rounds closed in Central and Eastern Europe and the broader European region, providing details on each deal. Below is a list of startups from CEE that received funds during November. 

Wordware, over €28.5M in a seed round

Location: Polish-co-founded with HQ in San Francisco, the US
Founded in: 2023
Total funding received: over €30 million 
Recent funding sources: Spark Capital, Felicis, Y Combinator, Day One Ventures, 20SALES, Figma Ventures, Innovation Nest, J4.Ventures, SV Angel, Friends & Family Capital, and angels such as Paul Graham and Webflow’s Vlad Magdali

Wordware develops a full-stack operating system for AI, allowing users to build advanced AI agents using natural language instead of coding. Using the current seed funding, Wordware plans to broaden its reach in early 2025 by allowing individual users to automate personal workflows with its engine.

AMPECO, €24.7M in Series B

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria
Founded in: 2018
Total funding received: over €37 million

AMPECO develops a cloud-based EV charging management platform that helps businesses manage infrastructure, optimize energy usage, and enhance the charging experience. With the fresh Series B funding, the company plans to accelerate product enhancements and expand into key markets, including Western Europe, the UK, North America, and Southeast Asia. 

Brightpick, over €11.4M in equity and venture debt funding

Location: Slovakian-founded with HQ in Erlanger, the US
Founded in: 2021
Total funding received: €61.5 million

Brightpick develops AI-powered robots that automate key warehouse tasks such as order picking, consolidation, and dispatch. Its flagship product, the Autopicker, picks and consolidates orders directly in warehouse aisles. The newly secured funding will fuel Brightpick's R&D initiatives and drive its sales and expansion across the US.

Upheal, €9.5M in Series A 

Location: Prague, Czech Republic, and New York, the US
Founded in: 2021
Total funding received: €13.6 million

Upheal is a platform designed to help mental health clinicians reduce burnout by automating administrative tasks such as video calls, progress notes, and analytics. The startup will use the recent funding to expand its team and enhance its AI-driven tools, allowing mental health providers to focus more on client care.

Miros, €6M in pre-Series A 

Location: Tallinn, Estonia
Founded in: 2021
Total funding received: €8 million

Tallin-based startup Miros develops an AI-powered search and discovery platform for e-commerce, explicitly targeting visually-driven sectors like fashion and furniture. In November, it raised €6 million in pre-Series A funding that will be used to boost R&D and expand market reach.

Ligence, €3M in a seed round

Ligence develops software for cardiac echocardiography that uses AI to automate image analysis, assisting cardiologists in making precise clinical decisions. With the seed capital raised, the startup plans to enhance its AI-driven software, expand clinical trials, and scale its operations to improve the accessibility and accuracy of cardiac ultrasound diagnostics.

Bavovna, over €2.5M in a seed round

Bavovna develops AI-powered navigation systems for unmanned vehicles (UVs) to operate in GPS-denied and electronic warfare-threatened environments. The startup plans to spend the proceeds on scaling scale NDAA-compliant production in North America and the EMEA, enhancing its existing product lines, and exploring new opportunities in defense and commercial sectors.

CyberUpgrade, €2.5M in a seed round

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania
Founded in: 2023

CyberUpgrade develops AI-driven solutions that automate cybersecurity compliance for CTOs and CISOs. The startup will use the €2.5 million seed funding to enhance its AI-driven platform, expand its services, and help SMEs meet tightening EU cyber regulations by improving cybersecurity automation and accessibility.

Cloud Office, €2M

Location: Bulgaria
Founded in: 2019

Cloud Office develops solutions that bridge the gap between cloud infrastructure expertise and AI implementation. The current investment will allow the startup to strengthen its brand as “the most recognizable and preferred Google Cloud Partner in EMEA” and support the expansion of Google Cloud’s presence in Greece, where it recently established an office.

SuperScale, €1.14M in Series A 

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia

SuperScale provides a growth platform to scale blockchain apps and games profitably. Powered by SuperInsights, its analytics engine predicts strategies for commercial success. The current funding will be spent on the startup’s new SuperPlatform, which unifies data from 40+ sources, offering an AI-driven, all-in-one view of business performance.

DYNANIC, €550k in a pre-seed round

DYNANIC develops solutions that optimize programmable chips (FPGAs), enabling efficient integration into high-performance applications like AI, virtual reality, and data centers. The startup plans to use the pre-seed funding to accelerate product development, expand its market reach, and further advance its technology for programmable chips.

Flowlance, €500k in a pre-seed round

Finlay is an AI-powered recruitment startup that helps companies quickly connect with top talents from various platforms, including LinkedIn, Reddit, Stack Overflow, and GitHub. The startup plans to use the pre-seed capital to develop its platform further, expand its operations, and establish a future presence in the US.

isLucid, €265k in a pre-seed round

isLucid specializes in AI solutions for sales and customer success teams, with its flagship product, CallCenter isLucid®, turning spoken conversations into structured text. The €265,000 funding will drive isLucid's expansion into Scandinavian and non-English-speaking markets while advancing its AI-powered platform for contact centers.

Sera, an undisclosed pre-seed round

Location: Tallinn, Estonia
Founded in: 2024

Sera’s AI-powered platform automates prospecting and lead qualification, enriching company profiles with accurate emails, business metrics, and more. The new funding from  Specialist VC and private investors will help Sera refine its product to deliver even more precise lead lists while the team invites demo calls to onboard its first users.

4FIZJO, an undisclosed round

Location: Poland
Founded in: 2017

4FIZJO is an e-commerce platform and producer of fitness and medical devices. Operating in six European markets, including Poland, Ukraine, and Slovakia, the company plans to expand into Romania, Bulgaria, and Hungary. 4FIZJO aims to strengthen the market presence in the region while preparing for growth into the Baltics by 2026.
