Top CEE funding rounds closed in June 2024

Creatio, €185M 

Location: HQ in Boston, the US, this Ukrainian-founded company has offices in Kyiv and London

Ukrainian-founded no-code CRM and workflow platform Creatio raised €185 million in funding at a valuation of $1.2 billion, becoming the sixth unicorn with Ukrainian roots. With the fresh funding, Creatio plans to develop and expand its partnerships, grow its team, and drive innovations in no-code and AI. 

Quantum Innovations, €9.5M in a Convertible Note

Total funding received: €10.1M 
Recent funding resources: Vinci, Medtech Holding 

Polish medtech startup Quantum Innovations offers medical solutions to enhance safety in cardiac surgery, cardiology, and pulmonary medicine. The startup secured €9.5 million (PLN 41 million) led by Vinci IQ ASI, with participation from Medtech Holding to establish its production line, conduct regulatory and clinical tests, obtain certification, and expand into major global markets. 

CampusAI, €9.2M in a pre-seed round  

Location: Warsaw, Poland

CampusAI, a Warsaw-based startup, develops a platform for efficient AI use, allowing users to create virtual worlds, attend classes, and customize learning paths. The fresh €9.2 million raised in pre-seed funding will enable CampusAI to build a virtual campus for AI training and expand abroad. 

Bisly, €6.2M in a Series A 

Location: Tallinn, Estonia

Tallinn-based smart building automation platform Bisly raised €6.2 million in Series A funding round to expand its technological solutions in European markets further, focusing on Germany and the UK. The startup develops hardware and software solutions that address smart buildings' scalability, cost, and integration challenges.   

Cookie3, €5.1M

Estonian Cookie3 is a blockchain startup specializing in behavioral analytics by interpreting customer profiles through wallet history. The startup secured €5.1 million in a funding round to help fund the launch of its governance and utility token, $COOKIE. 

Esper Bionics, €4.6M 

Location: Kyiv, Ukraine  
Founded in: 2019

Engineering and tech startup Esper Bionics, which develops advanced robotic limbs and controllers, has raised €4.6 million. The funds will support research and development, increase production, and enhance their bionic ecosystem, with a focus on producing more of their main product, the AI-powered Esper Hand. 

Portal.ai, €4.6M in a pre-seed round 

Location: Ukrainian-founded startups with HQ in Redwood City, the US
Founded in: 2023

Ukrainian startup Portal.ai, which helps small to medium-sized organizations make operational decisions by centralizing data and functions, has secured €4.6 million in a pre-seed round to assist business owners in implementing its AI suggestions. 

SensusQ, €3.8M in a seed round

Estonian defence tech startup SensusQ offers defense intelligence software that integrates a vast array of data sources to provide comprehensive and actionable intelligence for military units. The startup secured €3.8 million to grow its workforce and address market demand by leveraging the expertise, strategic support, and global network of its new partners. 

Spike, €3.2M in a seed round 

Location: Lithuanian startup with HQ in Palo Alto, the US 
Founded in: 2022

Lithuanian data tech startup Spike, which enables healthcare and digital health companies to integrate AI into their applications, raised €3.2 million in seed funding in June. The funds will be used to expand its capabilities in medical, wearables, and IoT sensor data aggregation and to develop safe, compliant generative AI products. 

Proofs, €2.4M in a pre-seed round

Polish-founded startup Proofs which develops software that allows companies with APIs to use AI agents to build proof-of-concept apps in minutes, tailored to their prospects' needs, has secured €2.4 million in pre-seed funding. The capital raised will enable proofs to improve its product, grow its team, and fund its GTM preparation, focusing on mid-market and enterprise US customers.  

SprayVision, €2M in a Series A round 

Location: Pustkovec, Czech Republic  
Founded in: 2019

Czech startup SprayVision raised €2 million in a Series A funding round, the startup provides digitalization, automation, simulation, and analysis of spray patterns. The fresh funding will enable SprayVision to expedite expansion and innovation, thereby enhancing its position in the digital transformation of coating processes. 

Scoutlabs, €2M in a seed round 

Location: Budapest, Hungary 
Founded in: 2022

Budapest-based agritech company Scoutlabs secured $2 million in seed funding to scale its solution in Hungary, the UK, and the US markets. The startup develops a digital trap network to monitor insect migration and swarming, aiming to assist farmers in transitioning to more environmentally friendly methods. 

SaleSqueze, €1.4M in a seed round 

Location: Skofja Loka, Slovenia 
Founded in: 2021

Slovenian SaleSqueze is a Visual CPQ platform designed for small to medium-sized businesses to streamline complex product sales, including home and garden equipment, outdoor solutions, and industrial components. The startup raised $1.5 million in a round led by Underline Ventures, to further develop its platform to offer self-service capabilities, automate onboarding processes, and fund its entry into new international markets. 

heybooster, €770k  

Location: Tallinn, Estonia  
Founded in: 2019 
Total funding received: €930k

Tallinn-based AI-powered analytics platform heybooster, which offers data analysis tools, secured €770,000 in funding round. The fresh capital will aid heybooster to further develop its latest product, heybooster 3.0, which enables users to monitor marketing actions and communicate with customized marketing solutions via its public API. 

Elin.ai, €600k in a pre-seed round 

Location: Prague, Czech Republic 
Founded in: 2023 
Total funding received: €700k 
Recent funding resources: Presto Ventures, BD Partners 

Czech mental health app Elin.ai secured €600,000 in a pre-seed round. The startup aims to reduce the negative impacts of online communication and content consumption on mental well-being. The fresh funding will help Elin.ai fully release its mobile app and grow its user base to 5,000. 

Zerops, €500k in a pre-seed round 

Location: Prague, Czech Republic 
Founded in: 2017 
Total funding received: €500k 
Recent funding resources: Presto Ventures, Gi21 Capital 

Prague-based developer-first PaaS Zerops secured $500,000 in a pre-seed round. The startup will use the capital raised to add first-class integration with popular frameworks and open-source software, expand knowledge, enhance the onboarding process, and to gather traction in preparation for global expansion.
