Vilnius-based fashion repairs marketplace Tingit, which simplifies the repair process with quick quotes and hassle-free logistics, has raised €500,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by FIRSTPICK.
- Founded in 2023 by Indrė Viltrakytė, Tadas Maslauskas, and Robertas Kalinkinas, Tingit offers zero-effort fashion repair solutions for shoes, bags, and clothes.
- To use the service, users should start by uploading a short video of the item they want to repair. Once the video is submitted, they will receive a quote and a payment link. After completing the payment, users should drop off the item at the nearest drop-off point. Most repairs are finished within 7–10 days, with express options available if a quicker turnaround is needed.
- Since its inception, the startup has processed over 600 orders and 2,500 repair requests, mostly from returning clients.
Details of the deal
- The fresh funding was led by FIRSTPICK, a Vilnius-based venture capital firm that invests in the Baltic tech startups from various sectors, including fintech, SaaS, deeptech, and consumer marketplaces.
- The round also saw participation from Latvian VC BADideas.fund, Czech VC PurposeTech, and Berlin-based HEARTFELT_ a venture capital firm that invests in European pre-seed startups.
- The fresh capital will help Tingit launch the Service Provider Gateway, enabling repair specialists to offer their services independently. The software will integrate Tingit's repair network with e-commerce sites for seamless operations. Additionally, the startup plans to expand into other countries and industries, including sports goods, toys, and consumer electronics.
