The Polish-founded startup The Linghos, specializing in speech therapy and also known for Pogaduszki, has secured investment from Simpact Ventures and SMOK Ventures. The platform integrates artificial intelligence with gamification. The exact amount of funding has not been disclosed.
- Founded in 2022 by Jakub Śledź and Mariusz Pitura, The Linghos develops an AI-based speech therapy app for kids. The app diagnoses speech impediments, recommends personalized therapy, and offers engaging mobile games for exercise.
- The startup has tested the MVP version of its platform on over 1,200 children. The Linghos team includes international experts in artificial intelligence, game development, cinematic storytelling, voice recognition systems, and speech therapy.
"Parents remain involved, but the platform’s innovative approach requires less of their time compared to traditional methods.
Pogaduszki is a valuable tool for speech therapists to personalize therapy with games and for schools to manage the shortage of therapists with wide access to the app," Simpact Ventures team, commented on LinkedIn.
Details of the deal
- The fresh funding was backed by Simpact Ventures, a Warsaw-based venture capital firm that invests in tech startups across Central and Eastern Europe. Simpact Ventures has already invested in 29 startups, including Nutrix, Prosoma Digital Healthcare, and MyEgg.
- The investment also saw participation from SMOK Ventures, a Warsaw-based venture capital firm that invests between $100,000 and $1 million in early-stage software startups across Central and Eastern Europe.
- The capital raised will allow the startup to expand its workforce, especially by hiring additional AI developers and engineers. It will also enable the company to set premiere dates for launching its application in countries beyond Poland. Notably, the Pogaduszki platform is scheduled to debut at the start of the 2024 school year, with further details to be announced soon.
