Based in Gdansk, AI patient communications platform Talkie.ai, which automates patient communication and appointment management in healthcare facilities with a 24/7 virtual receptionist, has secured €1.1 million (PLN 5 million). The funding will help the startup to expand in the Polish and US markets.
- Founded in 2018 by Ada Andruszkiewicz, Paweł Lipiński, and Wojciech Przechodzeń, Talkie.ai develops AI-driven phone automation solutions to improve patient access and engagement in healthcare.
- The platform utilizes medical voice assistants to provide automated self-service options, ensuring accurate call routing, easy appointment management, and automated prescription refills for timely patient care.
- The startup has signed over 60 contracts with healthcare providers in Poland and the US. Talkie.ai now earns 30% of its revenue from the US. In 2023, its AI voice assistants engaged with over 1 million patients.
Details of the deal
- The latest funding round received support from several investors, including Warsaw-based 4growth VC, NCBR Investment Fund, and SATUS Starter VC. Additionally, Austrian Gateway Ventures participated in the round.
- Various business angels, including Anna Lankauf and brothers Tomasz Karwatka and Piotr Karwatka, also joined the funding.
- With the capital raised, Talkie.ai plans to expand its operations in the Polish and US markets and prepare for its Series A financing.
