Bulgarian startup Smart Systems Ltd, which develops and manufactures electronics and electromechanical products, has secured €8 million in funding from BlackPeak Capital. The fresh capital will enable Smart Systems to modernize and expand its production capacity.
- Founded in 1994, Security Smart Systems Ltd specializes in developing and manufacturing electronics and electromechanical products.
- With over 20 years of experience, the company provides services including PCB assembly, software testing, plastic injection molding, metal sheet forming, and LED lighting manufacturing, all in line with international quality standards.
- Vratsa-based Security Smart Systems Ltd employs a team of 200 and has implemented integrated management systems under ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and OHSAS 18001:2007. These systems ensure effective quality management, environmental management, and occupational health and safety.
Details of the deal
- The funding round was led by BlackPeak Capital, a Bulgarian private equity firm that currently manages two funds with a total of €150 million in assets. The firm has invested in several Southeast European startups, including Leanpay, Bianor Holding, GenePlanet, and Pick& Pack.
