Slovakian startup CloudTalk raises $28M for AI-powered business calling software

Slovakian CloudTalk, an AI-powered calling solution and call center software for businesses, has closed a $28 million Series B round. The funding was co-led by KPN Ventures and Lead Ventures, as Vestbee was informed.

  • Founded in 2016 by Martin Malych and Viktor Vanek, CloudTalk develops business calling software powered by AI features such as call summarization, automated note-taking, and customer opinion monitoring.
  • The startup's solution enables customer support and sales teams to automate workflows without coding, facilitating faster and more efficient connections with customers. It is already being used by over 4,000 sales and customer-facing teams in more than 100 countries, as stated by Martin Malych, CEO of CloudTalk.
  • In addition to PN Ventures and Lead Ventures, the Series B round included participation from CloudTalk’s existing investors Point Nine Capital, henQ, Presto Ventures, and Orbit Capital.

I think back to 2018 when we were closing the CloudTalk investment. It was one of Presto's very first and at the time, CloudTalk was a budding startup with a few clients and a minimalist product. It's amazing to witness how far the company has come and the challenges its team has had to grapple with over that time. The current investment round marks another milestone in CloudTalk's journey of becoming a market leader in customer voice communication tools. - says Premysl Rubes, founding partner of Presto Ventures.

  • The fresh funds will accelerate CloudTalk's growth and product innovation, particularly in enhancing its AI-powered cloud phone system and contact center solutions.
