Presto Ventures leads $330k pre-seed round for Georgian startup Wempler

Georgian startup Wempler has secured a $330,000 pre-seed investment led by Czech Presto Ventures, as informed by the fund to Vestbee. The round also saw the participation of business angels who invested $110,000.

Co-founded by Aleksandre Tavkhelidze, Giorgi Javakhidze, and David Berdznishvili, Wempler develops a marketplace for task delegation. The platform connects customers with local businesses and individual experts to tackle errands, cleaning, handyman jobs, deliveries, and other everyday tasks.

Since its launch in April 2023, the Wempler platform has completed over 22,000 task  and acquired more than 10,000 unique customers, the startup says. As Wempler claims, it is aimed to help its clients free up time to focus on “value-generating aspects of their lives”.

The pre-seed round was led by Presto Ventures, a Prague-based VC fund. This fresh deal was the fourth Georgian investment for the firm. Three previous ones include CityPay.io, Klipy, and Omofox.

It’s always a pleasure to work with founders who are driven, bring great energy, and work relentlessly. They aren’t afraid to try many things and iterate rapidly to create the best possible product. Aleksandre, David, and Giorgi fit this founder profile perfectly. It’s why we believe in them and their vision, as they build the dominant player in this category. They simply get things done. - Roman Novacek, Partner at Presto Ventures says.

Wempler is going to use the funding for the further product development and market expansion. The startups plans to gain a foothold in Georgian market and expand across the CIS countries.
