Czech Presto Ventures launches a €150M Presto Tech Horizons fund to invest in defence tech

Prague-based venture capital firm Presto Ventures has launched a €150 million Presto Tech Horizons fund in collaboration with Czechoslovak Group (CSG), as Vestbee was told. The fund will support security and defence tech startups from NATO countries.

  • Presto Tech Horizons Fund aims to bolster NATO-backed technological projects, particularly focusing on startups developing dual-use solutions that serve both civilian and security purposes. 
  • Investments will prioritize enhancing safety and privacy across sectors such as AI, cybersecurity, automation, robotics, defence, aerospace, mobility, energy, healthcare, advanced computing, and critical infrastructure management and protection.
  • Currently, the fund is evaluating promising tech entrepreneurs and companies, with plans to announce portfolio investments in the fall. This initiative aims to support these ventures in achieving global-scale success and generating revenue.
