Poland’s OTB Ventures co-leads $5M seed round for German procuretech akirolabs

Berlin-based procuretech startup akirolabs has raised $5 million in a seed funding round co-led by OTB Ventures, together with High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and D11Z.Ventures.

  • Founded in 2021 by Michael Pleuger, Detlef Schultz, Christoph Flöthmann, and Tim Ergenzinger, akirolabs develops an AI-powered SaaS platform that enables enterprises worldwide to augment strategic procurement processes. Vodafone, Pan American Energy, Bertelsmann, UCB Pharma already use the startup’s solution.
  • The current round was co-led by Polish deeptech fund OTB Ventures, German venture firms HTGF and D11Z.Ventures, with participation from business angels., including Detlef Schultz, former CEO of the Vodafone Procurement Company.

  • The proceeds will help akirolabs to further develops SaaS product and enhance its AI capabilities, as well as scale customer growth and business operations.
