UK-based safety tech startup Notify, which provides a digital platform for managing workplace safety and compliance, has secured £1.5 million from Calculus Capital, the North East Venture Fund, and private investors.
- Founded in 2017 by Duncan Davies and Andy Dumbell, Notify develops a digital safety, health, environmental, and quality (SHEQ) management platform designed to improve workplace safety and compliance.
- The platform enables businesses to manage safety incidents, conduct audits and inspections, complete risk assessments, and store safety documents from a centralized location. It helps organizations identify trends, manage risks, and promote a proactive safety culture.
- Notify's platform also incorporates AI-powered features to enhance safety management, making it more proactive and preventing accidents rather than just responding to them.
- The startup is used by over 250,000 users worldwide across various industries, including high-profile companies like McDonald's, Siemens, and the NHS.

We have seen the health safety and wellbeing sector become increasingly important to organisations and Notify is at the forefront of innovation in this space," claims Richard Moore, Co-head of Investments at Calculus.
- The fresh capital raised will be used by Notify to enhance its platform with new AI-powered features and to ramp up its sales and marketing activities.
"I’m delighted we’ve been able to raise additional capital from long term investors to support our latest innovations and to continue our growth trajectory. Thousands of organisations are recognising the value of looking after the health, safety and wellbeing of their workforce, and Notify is now perfectly placed to deliver software that drives employee engagement and productivity," co-founder and CEO, Duncan Davies commented.
