Italian martech Glaut raises $1.4M in pre-seed round led by Founders Fund

Milan-based martech startup Glaut has announced its raise of $1.4 million in a pre-seed round led by the Italian Founders Fund. Brainstorm Ventures, Alecla7, B Heroes, participated as well.

  • Glaut was founded in late 2023 by Matteo Cera and Giovanni del Gallo. It aims to assist marketing teams in B2C firms in making more informed business decisions by using conversational surveys, a method of gathering customer and market data. The startup assures that it is just as simple to use as a Google Form, but in contrast to multiple-choice questionnaires, it allows users to participate in extended, open-ended discussions to express their opinions about companies, goods, and experiences.

“Glaut delves deep with personalized follow-up questions, synthesizing responses into actionable business insights,” explains Matteo Cera, founder of Glaut.

  • Just a few months after its launch, Glaut worked with worldwide businesses such as Condé Nast, AutoScout24, and Mondadori Media, as well as research firms such as Altum Insights, Marketagent, and Eumetra.
  • This pre-seed round was led by the Italian Founders Fund. Usually, it leads pre-seed and seed rounds with a $500,000 to $1.5 million initial investment.
  • Glaut intends to use the funding to expand its customer research platform, strengthen its product and tech teams, and provide vertical solutions that are suited to a range of market research requirements. The company's goals are to increase its presence throughout the world and keep providing innovative customer research solutions.
