London-based company that helps the National Health Service with primary care administrative duties' automation, Healthtech-1, has raised £2.7 million in funding led by the UK VC Moonfire with the participation from Y Combinator and angel investors.
- Healthtech-1 was founded in 2021 by Peter Huang and Raj Kohli. The startup automates procedures like lab report generation and GP registration for the National Health Service. Healthtech-1's software uses proprietary algorithms to write data into the system, fulfill identity checks against NHS records, and notify the practice to areas, like safeguarding, where they may need to pay extra attention. Due to this date, 10% of England is already using its technologies.
- The leading investor is an early-stage VC Moonfire. It focuses on areas like finance, healthcare, gaming, and the future of work. Moonfire has more than 50 startups in its portfolio, and the ticket ranges between $1 million and $2.5 million.
- Fresh funding is going to support further development of Healthtech-1 technologies. Additionally, the startup plans to have 90% of England use its product by the end of 2025.
