Barcelona-based platform for B2B lead generation Genesy has raised €5 million in a seed funding round to grow its workforce and expand into new markets.
- Founded in 2023 by Kai Brandt and Jaume P, Genesy is an AI-driven B2B lead generation and outreach automation platform designed to streamline the sales process.
- The platform helps sales teams create targeted lead lists, enrich them with verified company and contact data, and automate outreach campaigns via email and LinkedIn.
- The startup has offices in Barcelona and Madrid. Its platform enables salespeople to access accurate decision-maker contact information, improve CRM data quality, and scale lead generation to build a predictable, high-quality sales pipeline.
- With a team of 20, Genesy is trusted by over 150 customers, including Borneo, GoGlobal, Canva, and Taxdown. In just nine months, the startup has integrated more than 30 data sources and developed an intelligent workflow system.
Details of the deal
- The funding round was led by Samaipata, an early-stage venture fund that invests in digital businesses with network effects across Europe.
"At Samaipata, we believe that Genesy addresses a key challenge in the B2B world. Use the capabilities of LLMs to combine structured and unstructured data in processes that are often manual and not very scalable," Partner at Samaipata, Luis Garay, commented.
- Existing investors Kfund, a venture capital firm managing €500 million in assets and focused on supporting Southern European founders, have raised a €70M fund. Barcelona-based Itnig also joined the round.
- The startup plans to use the capital raised to expand into new markets, including the US, the UK, Germany, Italy, France, and the Netherlands, as well as to grow its workforce and increase its team size to 40.
