German climatech forward earth secures €3.2M for global supply chain decarbonization

German climatech startup forward earth which develops AI-powered environmental management software, has secured €3.2 million. The investment was led by Speedinvest, and saw participation from Revent, Lucid Capital, the EU, and business angels.

  • Established in 2023 by Micha Schildmann, Cari Davidson, and Giuseppe Gentile, forward earth develops AI-automated environmental management software enabling a full global overview of compliance, risk management, and supply chain data for businesses.
  • forward earth's AI-powered environmental management tool interacts with current software providers to create environmental data for compliance, risk, and supply chain management, covering EU and US regulatory requirements.
  • The startup established key partnerships with software providers in compliance, supply chain management, and ESG across the EU, US, and Asia.

Details of the deal 

  • forward earth secured a total of €3.2 million in funding, including €2 million pre-seed funding from private investors: Vienna-based  Speedinvest, Berlin-based Revent and Lucid Capital, as well as business angels Anna Alex and Benedikt Franke.
  • Additionally, €1.2 million in funding was led by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
