Granada-based sports and fitness management platform FitnessKPI, which provides detailed analysis for informed strategic decisions, has secured €1 million in a funding round led by Angels Capital, with participation from Encomenda Capital Partners SGEIC and various business angels.
- Established in 2018 by Pablo Viñaspre and Isabel Vega, FitnessKPI develops AI-powered business intelligence (BI) software tailored to manage sports and fitness facilities. The platform offers specific solutions designed to maximize the efficiency and profitability of various types of gyms and sports clubs.
- FitnessCRM improves member relationship management by utilizing advanced marketing automation, hyper-segmenting profiles, and streamlined workflows. It optimizes engagement, retention rates, and membership growth through targeted messaging via various channels, including SMS, WhatsApp, social media, and email.
- The startup operates in 18 countries in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Latin America, and North Africa, serving over 600 clubs and collecting data from 2 million clients, achieving a tripled turnover in the past two years.
Details of the deal
- The fresh funding was led by Angels Capital, a Valencia-based venture capital firm that invests in early-stage tech startups. The firm’s portfolio includes 50 startups and 18 exits, featuring companies such as PlayFilm, Deolan, and Gana Energía.
- Barcelona-based VC Encomenda Capital Partners SGEIC, which invests in pre-seed and seed startups in southern Europe, along with business angels, also joined the round.
- The fresh capital will enable FitnessKPI to accelerate international growth by expanding its sales force and presence at industry events and focusing on developing its AI product.
