Berlin-based AI therapist Clare&Me, which provides a safe space for users to talk about their problems and improve their mental well-being, has secured €3.7 million, led by YZR Capital, to develop the first clinical large language model.
- Founded in 2021 by Emilia Theye and Celina Messner, Clare&Me is an AI-based platform that provides a confidential space for individuals to express their thoughts and emotions. It uses AI therapist Clare to guide users through self-reflective exercises and grounding techniques, offering 24/7 support and personalized mental wellness.
- The startup also serves clinics, enhancing team productivity and optimizing workforce distribution, directly benefiting the bottom line. Clare&Me boasts a proven track record with a 92% call completion rate and over 100,000 conversations since launch. By integrating Clare&Me, therapists save more than 10 hours per week, improving overall efficiency and allowing for more focused patient care.
Details of the deal
- The lead investor in the round is YZR Capital, a Munich-based venture capital firm that supports European health tech founders. Zug-based VC Kodori Ventures, which backs startups focusing on mental health, London-based VC Material Ventures, and Singapore-based Antler also participated in the investment. Additionally, Clare&Me received a grant from the IBB and the European Union.
