London-based BeyondMath, known for its AI-first approach to simulating the physical world, has secured $8.5 million to accelerate its digital design process. The funding was led by UP.Partners with participation from Insight Partners, InMotion Ventures, Creator Fund, and other private investors.
- Founded in 2022 by Alan Patterson and Darren Garvey, BeyondMath provides design assessment, allowing for the evaluation of multiple designs without the requirement for physical prototypes. It optimizes concepts using quick AI-driven physics simulations and real-world data to produce more precise and dependable solutions.

- BeyondMath's software is being utilized by several Formula 1 racing teams to expedite aerodynamics and vehicle design processes.

- UP.Partners, led the investment. It's a Santa Monica-based venture capital firm that invests in startups focused on developing multidimensional mobility solutions.
- The fresh funding also saw participation from New York-based VC Insight Partners, London-based VC InMotion Ventures, Kensington-based Creator Fund, a venture capital firm that focuses on supporting PhD and academic founders, and other private investors.
- The startup plans to double its workforce size and enhance its computing capabilities by purchasing Nvidia DGX 200s while collaborating with the chipmaker on a new application.
