Amsterdam-based firm Zepo Intelligence lands $15M to fight AI-enabled cyber deception

Dutch firm Zepo Intelligence, a developer of human-centric security solutions, has raised $15 million in a Seed funding round led by TIN Capital to expand its team and scale its proprietary technology globally, as Vestbee was told.

  • Launched in 2026 by Antonio Muñoz and Enrique Holgado, Zepo Intelligence develops a platform designed to detect and respond to AI-driven social engineering attacks.
  • The system simulates threats such as deepfakes, phishing messages, and manipulated voice calls to identify vulnerabilities in employee behavior.
  • It provides real-time interventions across multiple communication channels, allowing organizations to monitor and reduce human-related security risks.

“Artificial Intelligence has turned social engineering into one of the biggest challenges society faces today. As attackers have exploited generative AI and moved to multi-vector personalized attacks on employees, traditional cybersecurity - focused on isolated training tools and email filters - no longer provides the needed protection. Zepo responds to this gap by leading Agentic Social Intelligence for Workspace Security," explains Antonio Muñoz, CEO and Co-founder of Zepo Intelligence.

Details of the deal

  • The fresh capital was led by TIN Capital, a European investor specializing in cybersecurity that supports startups strengthening digital and national security, with participation from Madrid-based Kibo Ventures and German VC firm eCAPITAL.

“TIN Capital has been investing in Cybersecurity for almost ten years now, backing strong technology and great teams. Looking at the rapidly evolving threats it is still the Human Factor that is one of the biggest challenges. That’s why Zepo is ‘spot on’ and particularly interesting in light of the rise of A. With the adoption of human-centric, AI-driven security platforms, we currently see that the industry is beginning to design for that reality, with Zepo Intelligence at the forefront," claims Michael Lucassen, Managing Partner at TIN Capital.

  • Zepo Intelligence will use the funding to grow its team in data engineering and AI, expand its platform internationally, and enhance its tools for detecting and responding to AI-driven social engineering attacks. The investment will also go toward developing more sophisticated simulations and analytics to analyze human vulnerabilities and deliver tailored interventions across digital channels.
