Ghent-based fintech firm Warren, which develops a workplace pension and financial coaching platform, has raised €10 million in seed funding from Motive Partners’ venture arm, alongside F Capital, Entourage, Syndicate One, and 100IN.
- Founded in 2021 by Cedric De Vleeschauwer and David Du Pré, Warren builds and operates a workplace pension platform designed to improve how employees save for retirement.
- The company runs its own regulated pension fund (Warren Pension Fund OFP), launched after obtaining an IBP licence in June 2025, which invests employee contributions into diversified, low-cost ETF portfolios under FSMA supervision.
- The model replaces traditional group insurance structures with a transparent, fixed-fee approach, where employers pay a subscription and all investment returns accrue directly to employees.
- Alongside its pension infrastructure, Warren also offers a digital financial coaching platform that aggregates data from employers, pension records (via Mypension.be), and bank accounts (via PSD2) to help users understand their financial situation, plan retirement, and manage broader financial decisions through AI tools or access to human financial experts.
Details of the deal
- The investment will allow Warren to accelerate its growth in Belgium, scale its workplace pension platform, and lay the groundwork for expansion into broader European markets.
