StirlingX raises $20M Series A to scale sovereign data intelligence platform

UK-based defence and critical infrastructure technology startup StirlingX has secured $20 million in a Series A funding round led by Ventura Capital, with participation from RCM Private Markets Master Fund, managed by Rokos Capital Management. The investment brings the company's total funding to $31 million.

  • Founded in 2024 and spun out of security-focused venture studio GALLOS Technologies, StirlingX develops a sovereign data intelligence platform. It is designed to help defence organisations and critical infrastructure operators capture, secure, analyse, and act on data collected in complex and contested environments.
  • The company's technology combines autonomous drone operations, multi-sensor data collection, and analytics software to support applications ranging from infrastructure monitoring and surveying to counter-drone operations.
  • The fresh capital will be used to expand StirlingX's security software engineering team, accelerate product development, and support deployments for military and civilian customers operating in high-risk environments. The company also plans to scale its operations with government agencies and critical infrastructure operators across the UK and allied markets.
  • The funding follows the company's $11 million extended seed round announced in late 2025. The new round comes as demand grows for sovereign data platforms that enable governments and infrastructure operators to securely process sensitive information, reducing reliance on foreign technology providers.
