Sloneek raises $6M to scale its agentic AI HR platform across Europe

Czech-Slovak HR software company Sloneek, which develops an all-in-one platform for managing the employee lifecycle, has secured a $6 million funding round led by Orbit Capital with participation from Venture to Future Fund, as Vestbee was told.

  • Founded in 2019 by Milan Rataj and Filip Lukáč, Sloneek offers a cloud-based HR information system that centralizes core processes, including onboarding, attendance tracking, document management, performance management, and offboarding, while increasingly embedding AI capabilities that enable HR teams to automate routine tasks and interact with the platform through conversational commands.
  • The system is currently used by more than 500 enterprise clients across 25 countries, collectively managing HR operations for around 50,000 employees, with customers including Grant Thornton, MAN, WPP Media, and Twisto.
  • In 2020, the firm raised a €350,000 pre-seed round from Vision Ventures, followed by a €1 million seed round led by Presto Ventures in 2022, the same year it introduced integrations with Google and Microsoft Single Sign-On, laying the foundation for its broader ecosystem strategy.
  • In 2024, Sloneek closed a €3.6 late-seed round led by Purple Ventrues.

Details of the deal

  • The latest funding will be used to accelerate expansion into new European markets, deepen integrations with local HR and enterprise systems, and further develop its agentic AI layer, with the aim of evolving the platform into a more fully automated, conversational HR system.

"What stood out to us is the speed and efficiency with which the company is able to ship new tools that heavily leverage AI capabilities, combined with strong cost discipline and commercial traction. Sloneek was therefore a compelling candidate for venture debt funding: a company with high returns on incremental capital, where growth investments carry significant upside potential," explains Vít Javůrek from Orbit Capital.
