London-based EV charging startup Rightcharge has raised £500,000 in a growth funding round led by existing investor Soulmates Ventures, with participation from BlackWood Ventures and Purple Ventures, as Vestbee was informed.
- Founded in 2019 by Charlie Cook, Rightcharge provides a platform that helps businesses manage and pay for EV charging at home and on the road.
- Its technology automates home charging reimbursements through drivers’ energy bills and gives fleet operators visibility into charging costs and emissions, while a single card and app provide access to public charging.
- The company works with five licensing partners, including Octopus Electroverse, POD, The Right Fuel Card, and Fuuse. Through its partnership with Octopus Electroverse, Rightcharge has expanded into France and Germany, two of Europe’s largest EV fleet markets.
- Rightcharge was recently certified by Visa as a home charging reimbursement partner in Europe, validating its platform against Visa’s standards for functionality, integration, and security.
Details of the deal
- The funding follows a year of strong commercial growth, with Rightcharge achieving more than 20x ARR growth, expanding to over 200 direct fleet customers, and securing its first five licensing deals with major fleet and mobility providers.
- The company will use the funding to scale customer acquisition, strengthen strategic partnerships, continue product development, and support further European growth, while preparing for a potential Series A round.
