Ravical raises $17M seed round to expand AI platform for accounting firms

London-based Ravical, an AI platform for accounting and tax firms, has raised $17 million in a seed funding round led by MMC Ventures, with participation from existing investors Lakestar and Pitchdrive and new investor Shapers.

  • Founded in 2025 by Joris Van Der Gucht, Ken Bastiaensen and Benjamin Vandermarliere, Ravical develops an AI platform that helps accounting firms apply their expertise across their entire client base.
  • The platform integrates with firms’ existing systems, including customer relationship management tools, financial software and internal databases, allowing teams to work with client-specific information and standardise processes across the firm.
  • Its tools support file reviews, identify potential risks and opportunities among existing clients, and help advisers deliver additional services without relying on a small number of specialists.
  • More than 100 accounting firms across Europe already use the platform. According to the company, its customers include firms in the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands, where the technology is being used to improve review processes, support tax advisory work and identify opportunities to expand services for existing clients.

Details of the deal

  • With the fresh capital, Ravical plans to strengthen its presence in the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany, continue expanding across Europe and enter the US market.
  • The company aims to help accounting firms respond to growing demand for advisory services and labour shortages by applying their expertise more consistently across their client portfolios.
