Eindhoven-based ParkMundo, a travel technology platform connecting travellers and travel partners with airport parking providers, has raised €2.3 million in a Seed funding round backed by technology and travel-sector angel investors, alongside additional financing from Rabobank, as Vestbee was informed.
- Founded in 2013 by Jeroen van den Eerenbeemt, under the name Vliegen en Parkeren, ParkMundo initially operated as an airport parking comparison website before expanding into an international platform. Co-founder Martijn Meeuws later joined the business and currently serves as its CEO.
- The company connects travellers with more than 850 airport parking providers across 15 countries and has facilitated millions of bookings.
- ParkMundo has developed a B2B distribution platform that enables airlines, online travel agencies, and other travel brands to integrate airport parking into their booking journeys through APIs.
“The evolution from Vliegen en Parkeren to ParkMundo reflects exactly where we stand today. We have transformed from a local player into a truly global platform, handling airport parking bookings worldwide while seamlessly serving both individual B2C travellers and enterprise B2B partners,” claims Martijn Meeuws, co-founder and CEO of ParkMundo.
Details of the deal
- The funding will be used to scale ParkMundo’s consumer marketplace and B2B distribution platform, further develop its technology infrastructure, improve customer experience, and support international expansion.
