Danish firm Monopulse secures €1.12M to expand defence UAV production

Danish-Lithuanian defence technology company Monopulse, which makes drones and flight control systems for defence and law enforcement, received €1.12 million from ILTE, Lithuania’s national development bank, as Vestbee was informed.

  • Founded in 2021 by Justas Poderys, Monopulse develops small unmanned aerial systems and the electronics needed to operate them. The company designs and manufactures its own flight control computers, sensor modules, and airframes, and sources critical components from EU and allied suppliers to maintain supply chain transparency.
  • Its main products are lightweight reconnaissance drones intended for short-range intelligence and surveillance tasks, which can be deployed by small teams and operated in areas where GPS or communications signals are disrupted.
  • Alongside the hardware, Monopulse develops the flight control software and ground operating tools used to manage the systems. The company works directly with military and law enforcement users to adjust its designs based on field experience and operational requirements.

“What is considered state-of-the-art technology today can be obsolete a year later. Therefore, companies in the defence industry, including UAV manufacturers, are compelled to constantly develop and refine new product versions, even if this limits mass production. Countries closer to Ukraine are implementing these changes much more quickly, as the need to respond to modern battlefield challenges is much more tangible here,” claims Justas Poderys, Founder of Monopulse.

  • The fresh capital will enable the company to expand its production capacity, accelerate the manufacturing of its reconnaissance UAV systems, and fulfill growing orders in Lithuania and abroad.
  • It will also support the development and in-house production of key components, strengthen a secure supply chain with partners in allied countries, and allow continuous product improvements based on battlefield insights, ensuring the technology remains reliable and competitive.
