Swedish AI startup Klang has raised €1.3 million (SEK 15 million) in new funding at a valuation of SEK 150 million, with the round led by entrepreneur and tech investor Johan Lenander, alongside Refined founder Emil Sjödin and Position Green co-founder Daniel Gadd, with participation from existing shareholders, as Vestbee was informed.
- Founded in 2023 by Andreas Argelius, Mattias Fält, Niklas Silfverström, Viktor Silfverström, and Jacob Andersson, Klang develops AI technology for transcribing, summarising, and analysing conversations.
- The company is developing its own speech and language models designed to understand conversations in real time, including context, nuance, and dialects.
- Klang currently generates SEK 20 million in annual recurring revenue and is focused on expanding its technology into new markets across Europe and Japan.
Details of the deal
- The fresh capital will be used to accelerate AI development and research, support international expansion, and hire around 10 employees across research, development, and marketing.
- Klang plans to expand across the Nordics, Benelux, DACH region, and Japan, while continuing to build its platform toward its long-term goal of creating a searchable memory of organisational conversations.
