Paris-based industrial robotics company Inbolt, which develops 3D vision and AI technology for industrial robots, has raised €11 million in a funding round led by Shift4Good, with participation from Bridges Climate Transition Partners and existing investors BNP Paribas Développement and Ora Global.
- Founded in 2019 by Rudy Cohen, Albane Dersy, and Louis Dumas, Inbolt develops technology that enables industrial robots to perceive their surroundings and adapt their movements in real time.
- The company addresses a key limitation in industrial automation, where robots can struggle to respond to changes such as misaligned parts, tooling wear, or variations in production conditions. These issues can lead to production errors, defective products, and costly downtime.
- Inbolt combines 3D vision with a hardware-agnostic AI software layer that allows robots to detect changes in their environment and adjust their movements in real time. The technology can be deployed on both new and existing production lines and is compatible with major robot platforms.
- The company’s technology is already deployed on more than 200 robots across over 100 factories on three continents, with customers including Bosch, Beko, Flex, Ford, Stellantis, and Toyota.
Details of the deal
- With the fresh capital, Inbolt plans to accelerate its international expansion across the US and APAC, while entering the data center and electronics manufacturing sectors. The company opened an office in Detroit in 2026 as part of its US expansion.
