Greenjets secures $40M to accelerate low-cost drone defence

London-based Greenjets, which develops advanced propulsion systems for electric aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles, has raised $40 million in Series A funding from Blossom Capital, the NATO Innovation Fund, the National Security Strategic Investment Fund, and other existing investors.

  • Founded in 2022 by Anmol Manohar and Dr Guido Monterzino, Greenjets develops ducted fan propulsion technology designed to improve aircraft efficiency, reduce noise, and enhance operational performance.
  • Its engines are designed for applications ranging from small drones to future electric aircraft, offering higher efficiency, faster speeds, and lower acoustic signatures.
  • The company works with aircraft manufacturers to integrate its propulsion systems into different platforms, supporting applications across autonomous systems, urban air mobility, and sustainable aviation.

Details of the deal

  • With the fresh capital, Greenjets aims to accelerate the development, production, and deployment of its aerospace technologies, expand its propulsion and aircraft platform portfolio, and scale manufacturing capabilities across defence and commercial aviation markets.

"Greenjets gives aircraft builders what no legacy architecture can: speed, silence, range and instant response, tuned to whatever the mission demands. That is why their propulsion is being designed into platforms across the full spectrum of autonomous flight. Anmol, Guido and the team stand out for a relentless focus on delivery and customer satisfaction," explains Maxim Frenkel, Partner at Blossom Capital.
