Estonian edtech startup Flashka, which provides an AI-powered platform for efficient student learning, has secured €1 million in a pre-seed round led by Outlast Fund, with participation from UCP and Vento Ventures.
- Founded in 2023 by Stefan Djokovic, David Djokovic, and Simone De Marchi, Flashka develops an AI-powered educational platform that helps university students learn and retain knowledge. Users upload their study materials, which the system converts into flashcards, image occlusions, and quizzes.
- The platform employs a spaced repetition algorithm to optimize memorization, tracks progress, and adapts to each student’s learning pace, enabling efficient and personalized study sessions.
Details of the deal
- Flashka plans to use the €1 million pre-seed funding to accelerate the development of its AI-powered educational platform, enhance its automated flashcards, tests, and personalized learning tools, and scale its user base across key markets such as Italy and Spain.
- The capital will also support product improvements, technology upgrades, and operational expansion, enabling the startup to strengthen its position as a leading learning app for university students.
"Built by former students for today’s students, Flashka helps learners tackle complex subjects with AI-powered flashcards, quizzes, and personalised study tools. What we love most is the philosophy behind it: instead of using AI to skip the work, Flashka uses it to make learning deeper, clearer, and more effective," Vento's team, commented on LinkedIn.
