Paris-based venture capital firm Auriga Partners has secured €80 million in an interim closing for its second cybersecurity fund, Auriga Cyber Ventures II, bringing it closer to its €100 million target. The fund will invest in early-stage European cybersecurity startups, with a focus on AI security, identity protection and data security.
- Founded in 2022, Auriga Cyber Ventures launched its first €55 million fund to back European cybersecurity startups. The firm has since evaluated more than 2,000 companies in the sector and built a portfolio spanning cybersecurity and digital trust.
- Auriga Cyber Ventures II will invest in around 30 companies at pre-seed and Series A stages, with initial tickets ranging from €500,000 to €5 million. The fund will primarily make minority equity investments and reserve approximately half of its capital for follow-on funding.
- The fund has already backed four startups: Finovox, which develops document fraud prevention technology; Fleuret AI, which focuses on automated penetration testing; Mankinds, which provides AI systems auditing and compliance solutions; and Nextident, which works on AI agent security.
- With the fresh capital, Auriga Partners aims to support the development of European cybersecurity companies and help founders build businesses capable of competing internationally. Beyond financing, the firm provides portfolio companies with access to a network of more than 120 investors and cybersecurity industry professionals.
