Danish hardware startup Atech, which builds an AI-powered hardware prototyping platform using modular kits and a chat-based interface that generates hardware configurations and code in minutes, has raised an $800,000 pre-seed round from Lovable, Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia Capital, and Nordic Makers.
- Founded in 2026 by Tomas Harmer, David Stålmarck, Vladimir Baran, Atech’s platform pairs a starter hardware kit with an AI chat system that turns user ideas into functional prototypes.
- Users can describe projects such as a tilt-controlled marble maze or motion-triggered device, and the system generates both the required hardware setup and the supporting software code for its modular components, enabling rapid prototyping without traditional engineering expertise.
