German AI startup amber, which develops an AI platform that helps businesses structure corporate knowledge and automate knowledge-intensive processes, has raised €7 million in a Series A funding round led by NRW.Venture and existing investor Ventech.

- The platform is designed to evolve from a user-controlled AI assistant into an autonomous solution capable of recognizing pending tasks and executing them across different enterprise systems.
- amber's customers include Scheidt & Bachmann, Ritter Sport, Zentis, Schüßler-Plan, Dalli, and Hailo, with the company serving businesses across manufacturing, engineering, IT consulting, and consumer goods.
Details of the deal
- The funding will support amber's European expansion, initially into the Benelux region, team growth, and further development of its AI platform, proprietary AI Data Layer, and enterprise integrations.
- The company will also focus on expanding AI adoption among SMEs and building technology that enables businesses to use autonomous AI while maintaining control over their corporate data and knowledge.
