Dutch legal tech startup Zeno secures €2M to develop its AI-powered platform

Rotterdam-based legal tech startup Zeno has secured €2 million in funding led by Chris Oomen. The fresh capital will enable the startup to grow its team and platform.

  • Founded in 2024 by Raoul Bouchrit, Andreas Lepidis, and Nordin Bouchrit, Zeno offers an AI-powered platform designed to boost the efficiency of legal professionals.
  • The platform streamlines tasks such as document analysis, legal research, and drafting by combining AI with legal expertise.
  • Zeno automates repetitive processes, freeing lawyers to focus on more strategic work. It seamlessly integrates into existing workflows with tools like citation checks, adaptive drafting templates, and analysis frameworks grounded in real-world legal practices.

"Our goal isn’t to replace the human touch. You can’t automate empathy, judgment or the art of persuasion. Zeno simply frees you from the repetitive work so you can focus on the parts of the job where you add the most value," co-founder of Zeno, Nordin Bouchrit, commented.

Details of the deal

  • Chris Oomen, the founder of Optiver, led the Zeno investment round, which also included existing investors.
  • Zeno will use the fresh €2 million in funding to accelerate product development, expand into new enterprise use cases, and grow its team. This capital will help the startup enhance its platform and scale its operations to support legal professionals in their work.
