New VC Funds
- A Shift4Good VC debuts with the first, €100M closing of its €300M fund focused on European and South-East Asian startups. The firm will back Series A and B startups across smart mobility & circular economy segments coming from all over the globe.
- A consumer-focused V3 Ventures launches a €100M fund to invest in UK/Europe, the US, and India. The firm will consider pre-seed to Series A companies spanning e-commerce, health and beauty, as well as those within food & beverage industry.
- A marketplace-focused VC Market One Capital raises a new €80M fund. The firm will invest in the pre-seed and seed stage companies with tickets ranging from €200k to €2M in size.
- Redstone and EnjoyVenture team up in launching a €50M-big Human Impact Capital. The firm will focus on early-stage startups across Europe while typically investing between €500k and €1.5M.
- Female founder-focused VC Fund F closes a €20M to invest in pre-seed and seed-stage startups. The firm will consider companies working on climatetech, healthtech, femtech, fintech and HR tech solutions.
- A Polish Silvertech VC Medi Ventures announces the first fund. The firm will back early-stage silvertech startups across Poland.
- Ukrainian angel fund Angel One announces its first $1.5M-big VC. The firm will focus on pre-seed companies from across FinTech, SaaS, EdTech, AI/ML and will put $50k to $200k into each of their investments.
CEE Startup Funding Rounds, Acquisitions and Grants
- A Czech virtual avatar startup Alter gets acquired by Google to boost its content offerings. The acquisition is reported to be around $100M in size.
- A Bulgarian AI analytics platform LatticeFlow raises for $12M Series A for further expansion. The round was co-led by Atlantic Bridge, and OpenOcean and joined by FPV Ventures, BTOV and Global Founders Capital.
- DIY food packages startup Yummy raises a €3.4M pre-seed round. The round was joned by DEPO Ventures.
- A London-based payments company My EU Pay enter a strategic partnership with a Polish merchant payments platform Straal. The size of the agreement is reported to be around €2M.
- Bulgarian business/digital transformation company Next Consult and salesforce commerce company C4Nexus join up in creating Next 4 Commerce. The joint venture will aim to become a one-stop shop for digital transformation projects.
- Polish platform for book self-publishing imker raises an angel investment from IdoSell co-founder Paweł Fornalski.
- Digital payments platofrm Worldline acquires majority (55%) shares in a Polish POS fintech SoftPos. The transaction will be used to strengthen Wordline's global payment offerings.
Startup Calls
- A Polish branch of EY is looking for HR startups for its upcoming Demo Day. The deadline for receiving applications is set for the 10th of November.
- A Polish branch of Ringier Axel Springer invites startups for its first Start Me Up acceleration program. The program lasts for 6 months of mentorship, potential PoS and investment from Axel Springer and more. The applications are open till the end of this today, 31st of October.
- A European pre-acceleration program EIT Jumpstarter accepts applications from Ukrainian startups. Those accepted into the program may get up to €7.5k in equity-free grant, mentorship, and the possibility of pitching one's startup in front of investors. The applications are open till 28th of November.
