New Venture Funds:
- Salesforce Ventures kickstarts a $250M funds to invest in generative AI startups Generative AI Fund.
- German VC La Famiglia raises €250M fund. The firm will put up to €5M largely into B2B ML/AI, data, logistics and supply chain, consumerization of B2B, fintech and insurtech, sustainability and Industry 4.0 innovation.
- Munich VC Matterwave announces the first, €75M close of its €130M fund. The firm will put from €1M to €4M into European industrial tech startups.
- Singapore-based Blockchain Founders Fund announces a close of its $75M fund. The firm will back pre-seed and seed-stage Web3/blockchain tech across the globe.
Startup Funding rounds & acquisitions:
- American digital performance advertising platform DMS acquires a Ukrainian marketing agency, ClickDealer. The size of the transaction is reported to be around $45M.
- UK video content moderation startup Unitary raises an $8M seed round to grow the team and further develop the platform. The round was led by Plural and joined by Facebook’s former ad chief Carolyn Everson.
- Estonian solar roofing startup Roofit.Solar obtains €6.45M investment to fuel its further business expansion. The round was co-led by BayWa r.e. Energy Ventures and EdgeCap Partners.
- Polish programming edtech franchise Coding Giants grabs €3.5M investment to scale up the business. The round was co-led by PortfoLion and Nunatak Capital.
- Estonian crypto exchange Change Group AS raises €2M round to invest in its business development. The round was led by Andromeda Capital Partners Suisse AG led by Ingmar Mattus.
- Czech cybersecurity startup Ellio Technology secures €1M pre-seed round to reinvest in product’s R&D. The round was led by Presto Ventures.
- Croatian longevity startup Ani Biome gets €1.08M in a pre-seed round to expand in the US and team growth. The round was led by EIT ClimAccelerator.
- Polish game dev studio Kool2Play raises 1.15M PLN to invest in the development of its marketing/data analysis platform Buffmaker. The round was led by Satus Games.
- Polish inspection/process management platform Checly raises 1M PLN to expand throughout Europe and invest in product’s R&D. The round was led by Shape.vc.
- Polish B2B windows broken Debesto raises an undisclosed round to fuel its business expansion. The round was led by Venture Eleven.
Startup Calls:
- Żabka Future Lab invites startups to apply for the next edition of its program. Those accepted into the next batch will have a chance to test out their solutions across the Żabka group, connect with experts/investors, as well as obtain an investment/publicity for your product. The applications are open to CEE/Middle Eastern startups with a working prototype until the 15th of March.
- Orlen Skylight Accelerator seeks startups to join its 7th batch. The program could bring a chance to pilot company solutions across Orlen Group, acquire network/investors as well expert advice on venture building/technology matters. The applications are open till the 5th of April.
- Future Crunch 2023 in Poland is soon to close the sale of early bird tickets for its event. The conference will be a great place to meet other young entrepreneurs, hear/see Polish venture investors/entrepreneurs, and more. The early bird ticket sales close tomorrow, the 14th of March and the event is taking place on the 14th of April.
