Polish Development Fund opens up a deep-tech-focused Tech Hub. The firm will back mature startups with up to 50M PLN in funding.
London-based Seedcamp closes its sixth, $180M early-stage fund. The firm will back European startups from all sectors and industries, investing up to $1M into each opportunity.
A CVC of Japanese TDK Corporation, TDK Ventures launches €140M EX1 fund to invest in energy, cleantech, and climate tech startups. The firm will make investments across an early-stage landscape throughout the US and Europe.
The European Investment Fund channels €80M to 4 Romanian VCs: Innova/7, Booster Capital, GapMinder VC, and Morphosis Capital.
Startup Funding Rounds & Acquisitions:
Polish startup building orbital transfer vehicles/satellite mobility solutions Liftero raises its first investment round to develop the first ship. The investment was made by Sunfish Partners, Freya Capital, bValue, and a number of business angels.
Romanian banking/insurtech solutions partner Softelligence gets acquired by American outsourcer Encora. The size of the transaction remains undisclosed.
Lithuanian-found IP royalty rates database RoyaltyRange raises €4M round. The round was led by Presto Ventures and joined by Trind.vc, ZGI Capital, and a number of business angles.
Latvian mobile accessory brand Aioo raises €3M to expand in Latvia, Poland and broader Europe. The round was led by Merito Partners.
Lithuanian regtech to combat financial crime AMLYZE obtains €1M pre-seed investment to expand beyond the Baltics. The round was led by Practica Capital and joined by Firstpick accelerator.
Hungarian farming platform Proofminder secures €400k round to expand internationally. The round was led by Impact Ventures.
Polish furniture printing startup dopasuj.to raises and undisclosed round to kickstart its operations. The round was led by Spinaker Alfa.
Czech personal savings app Patron GO raises 7.5M Kč to enter Polish market. The round was led by SpeedUp Venture Capital Group.
Startup Calls:
PFR School of Pioneers and Allegro call for applications for the 6th School of Pioneers. The program will provide a 2-month bootcamp and an opportunity to compete for a 110K PLN prize at the demo day. The program is open for Polish, Czech, and Ukrainian entrepreneurs or aspiring founders until the 30th of June 18.
Last day to apply for Visa Everywhere 2023 Initiative. The winners of the challenge can obtain up to $50k in prizes and a chance of showcasing your solutions at TechCrunch Disrupt on September 19, 2023 in SF. European accelerator EWOR raises €3.2M to support region's entrepreneurs. Those accepted into the program will get between €75K and €150K. The applications are open till 31st of May.
