Every month, Vestbee evaluates the European startup landscape, identifying startups worth watching in our Startups Of The Month series. In May, we spotlighted ten companies that develop AI, robotics, energy tech, and compliance solutions.

Taylor Recruit

Co-founded in 2023 by Aravind Kadiroo Jayaram and Anand Madhusoodanan, Taylor Recruit is a London-based startup that provides pre-screening automation for recruitment. Utilizing advanced AI algorithms, the platform offers application reviews for candidate shortlisting and an on-demand AI-video interview system. It generates tailored questions to evaluate candidates' skills, experience, and potential fit for the roles. 

MAVA

Founded in 2024, Polish startup MAVA develops a software solution aimed at boosting workplace efficiency by tackling productivity detractors. It includes features that aid effective communication in multinational teams, promoting smoother interactions and mutual understanding among diverse cultural backgrounds by offering real-time messaging tips and recommendations to prevent misunderstandings.

Ubives

Budapest-based Ubives is a user management solution transforming online identification and data management. Featuring passwordless technology, it streamlines logins, reduces administrative tasks, and enhances security. Compatible with various services and systems, Ubives delivers cost savings over traditional methods, aiming to advance online security and convenience in digital identity management.

Decahydron

Decahydron, a multinational company headquartered in Cork, Ireland, focuses on producing natural hydrogen (carbon-negative) and uses ultramafic rocks for CO2 sequestration and mineralization. Its approach turns CO2 into stable minerals, reducing emissions from hard-to-abate industries. By combining these two technologies, the startup aims to combat climate change and lead in renewable energy and environmental conservation with several projects in South East Europe and across the globe.

Ecopolplast

Polish clean tech startup Ecopolplast has a mission to reinvent the use of recycled materials in manufacturing. It develops technology and manufacture Ecoplastomer®, the first circular thermoplastic elastomer made with 100% recycled content that reduces CO2 emissions by 65% and saves production costs. Every product made from Ecoplastomer® can be recycled repeatedly. This innovation prevents recycled content from ending up in landfills and can be used in automotive, construction, home & garden, sports equipment, and storage solutions.

Readmio

Czech edtech startup Readmio develops a mobile app, providing interactive children's stories. Using gamification features, such as automatically adding sounds and music while users read, the app aims to foster a love of reading in children and strengthen parent-child connections. Playful worksheets, coloring pages, and audio versions of the stories add additional dimensions to the Readmio learning world. The app is available in eight languages. It is currently working on integrating physical books with the app in order to connect online and offline experiences.

QuestPass

Polish QuestPass is a non-monetary “paywall” based on attention economy. The solution lies between paywall and advertising, combining advantages of both models. To access content for free, a user answers a simple question about an ad displayed in front of him. For advertisers, this method guarantees 100% attention and comprehension of the audience, which results in a very high uplifts seen in brand-lift surveys. At the same time, publishers earn about 5x more without closing their content to the public. 

Lognium

Lognium redefines global digital interactions, from passwordless logins to banking and document-free travel through an Identity Wallet. Founded by Ferenc Kulcsar, a serial entrepreneur with 20+ years' experience and two exits, it champions privacy using Selective Disclosure and Zero Knowledge Proofs at scale. According to Lognium, its UX and enterprise partnerships from day one, position it as an emerging leader in secure, interoperable digital solutions worldwide.

Hepta Insights

Hepta Insights is a vertical AI startup focusing on critical energy infrastructure. With its AI-enhanced software, the company deploys data management programs at full scale for distribution and transmission operators globally in more than 20 countries. The solution identifies anomalies in the grid using images (RGB), thermal images and Lidar data on the power line network and gives insights for utilities on grid maintenance and new grid planning to increase grid resilience and reduce potential disconnections in the grid.

Blockchain Solutions

Based in Prague, Bloockchain Solutions develops an all-in-one solution called SatsPay. The startup claims that its product enables small and medium-sized enterprises to trade globally by connecting them to global markets, utilizing the Lightning Network for B2B transactions, and resolving trade-related challenges.
