Eindhoven-based medical device startup Sirius Medical has raised €10 million, led by Invest-NL and Nextgen Ventures, with support from De Groot Family Office. The funds will enable the startup to enhance the Sirius Pintuition system and GPSDetect™ software platform.
- Founded in 2017 as a spin-off from the Netherlands Cancer Institute, Sirius Medical develops surgical tools for precise tumor localization, helping surgeons and radiologists remove tumors more accurately and efficiently.
- Sirius Medical develops two products for tumor localization. Sirius Pintuition is a wire-free system that uses a small magnetic seed to help surgeons accurately locate and remove tumors. It is a precise, simple, and cost-effective solution, approved with both CE marking and FDA clearance.
- Sirius Perception enhances surgical precision by providing real-time audio and visual guidance. According to the company, its technology is used in over 250 centers worldwide, with more than 35,000 procedures performed.
