Seeds of Bravery grants €1.25M investment to 38 Ukrainian startups

Seeds of Bravery, a €20 million EU-funded initiative designed to help integrate Ukrainian tech startups into the European market, has invested €1.25 million in 38 Ukrainian startups through four major programs. Earlier, in August, Seeds of Bravery also provided €2 million in funding to 59 other Ukrainian startups.

  • Seeds of Bravery (UASEEDs) is an EU-funded initiative under the European Innovation Council (EIC), supported by a network of 17 partners and two associated partners. The project is committed to helping Ukrainian tech innovators enter and succeed in European markets.

The fund supports four key programs, each with different funding levels:

Innovative Entrepreneurship program: 16 startups receive grants of up to €25,000 to support business continuity and encourage women-led companies.

  1. AidSupply: Platform for managing global humanitarian aid.
  2. Anima: Eye-tracking tech for online mental health assessments.
  3. Banani AI: AI design platform for product teams.
  4. D2.GreenHouse: Automated device for greenhouse management.
  5. EDMAPS: Learning platform making education fun for kids.
  6. InTempo: Stress-reducing app with music rhythms.
  7. LLC “Oxi Trade”: Efficient pellet burners for home and industry.
  8. Medvoice: Online education for healthcare professionals.
  9. Natulang: App for achieving foreign language fluency.
  10. Promptsideas: AI platform for creative innovation.
  11. R.Flo: Reliable batteries for continuous energy.
  12. Trementum Research: Detects inauthentic behavior on social media.
  13. VITA325 by GROUP325: Healthcare platform for patient and prosthetic management.
  14. Wemates P2P Risk-Sharing Network: Peer-to-peer insurance platform.
  15. Pravozno: Online courses for Ukraine’s state exams.
  16. PHOTOPOLYMER MOLDS KVOTA: 3D-printed photopolymer molds.

Deep Tech Incubators program: 8 startups won grants of up to €25,000 for early-stage startups involved in pre-MVP activities.

  1. Anima: Eye-tracking tech for online mental health assessments.
  2. Mark: AI solutions for preventive healthcare and reducing misdiagnoses.
  3. MindAction: Merges gaming with AI for personalized mental health learning.
  4. My Pectus: AI tool for early breast cancer risk detection.
  5. OPORA: Digital platform for personalized mental health care.
  6. Promin Aerospace: Develops self-burning rockets for quick space access.
  7. Progalit: AI platform for outpatient kidney stone treatment.
  8. TitroPal: Smart titrator that automates lab processes.

Rebuild Ukraine program: 2 startups received €25,000 each to focus on the rapid rebuilding of post-war Ukraine.

  1. Digital Second Opinion: A digital platform for cancer diagnostics to enhance second opinions and precision medicine.
  2. Pipes.One: A platform for fast, sustainable, and cost-effective pipeline construction on-site.

DeepTech Scale-Up & Acceleration program: 12 startups received grants of up to €50,000 for companies seeking to scale prototypes and expand their market reach.

  1. Aspichi VR Psy-Therapist Assistant: Photo-realistic VR assistant for psychological support.
  2. Better Time Stories: Storytelling platform enhancing children's learning in Europe.
  3. Computer-Aided Technology for Early Breast Cancer Detection: AI-driven tool improving breast cancer diagnosis and reducing false positives.
  4. Sprout Dynamics: Produces affordable dietary fiber and protein from sprouted seeds.
  5. EDMAPS: Engaging LMS platform for children's learning.
  6. Hideez: Cybersecurity solutions for passwordless access.
  7. inbox.wine: AI-driven personalized wine sales platform.
  8. MARV 2EX: Unique dust monitor for wet explosive gas applications.
  9. RELEAF: E-commerce shop for sustainable packaging.
  10. STEPS: System for thermal energy independence in Europe and Ukraine.
  11. SplineCloud: Knowledge management platform for engineers and scientists.
  12. Poly Diagnostics: In vitro diagnostic kit for detecting 26 respiratory pathogens.

Some of the winning startups have also raised funds from other Seeds of Bravery programs. For example:

  • Better Time Stories got €60,000 from the Innovative Entrepreneurship and Deep Tech Scale-up and Acceleration programs.
  • ClinCaseQuest received €50,000 from the Deep Tech Incubators and Deep Tech Scale-up and Acceleration programs.
  • FluxHR also raised €50,000 from the Innovative Entrepreneurship and Deep Tech Incubators programs.

Startups can apply for the Innovative Entrepreneurship, Deep Tech Incubators, Rebuild Ukraine, and Deep Tech Scale-Up and Acceleration programs until November 25 at 17:00 CET.
