Berlin-based VC naturalX Health Ventures has launched a €100 million fund to support European healthcare startups at the Series A stage, with select investments in North America.
- Founded in 2023 by Marvin Amberg, naturalX Health Ventures is a venture capital firm specializing in Series A investments in consumer health startups, while also considering late-seed and Series B opportunities.
- During its 18-month development phase, naturalX has invested in several startups, including Zug-based retail health and personal care company mybacs, UK-based Flow Neuroscience, Zurich-based mental healthcare startup Kyan Health, and Meela. Additionally, it has backed healthcare-focused VC funds to strengthen its ecosystem and support its investment thesis.
- The new fund aims to invest between €3 million and €5 million per company, with the potential to go up to €10 million. While primarily focused on Series A investments, it also remains open to participating in late Seed and Series B rounds.
- naturalX focuses on proactive health solutions, including sleep, gut health, prevention, longevity, and mental health. The firm can serve as either a lead investor or co-investor, targeting consumer health startups across Europe, with select investments in North America.
"As the first specialized fund focused exclusively on the intersection of consumer and health in Europe, we’re working with passionate founders who share our vision for science-backed wellness products and service," naturalX Health Ventures's team, commented on LinkedIn.
- The €100 million fund saw support from Schwabe Group, a company that specializes in developing plant-based medicines and healthcare products, with a focus on research and innovation in phytomedicine.
"I was fortunate to meet the team at Schwabe Group, a German pharmaceutical company that shares our vision for the future of healthcare. Their partnership has been instrumental in shaping naturalX’s foundation. Excited for what’s ahead and to help shape the future of consumer health," claims Marvin Amberg, Managing Director of naturalX Health Ventures.
