London's industrial tech startup Isembard secures $9M led by Notion Capital

London-based industrial tech startup Isembard, which develops modular machines and software, has raised $9 million in a seed funding round led by Notion Capital, with support from 201 Ventures, Basis, Foreword Fund, and Material Ventures.

  • Founded in 2024 by Alexander Fitzgerald, Isembard develops modular manufacturing units and software designed to enhance the speed, cost, and sustainability of producing high-precision parts.
  • The company specializes in aerospace, defense, and critical industries, offering machining, assembly, and molding services for complex components.
  • Using its proprietary software, MasonOS, Isembard integrates with existing BOMs and CAD files to estimate costs and delivery times, then manufactures parts with advanced 5-axis CNC machines and other equipment.
  • Isembard is ISO9001, Cyber Essentials, and JOSCAR certified, operating modular factories that are continuously improved through software and automation.

"Isembard is making manufacturing faster, cheaper and greener. We manufacture and assemble high-precision parts, enabled by our proprietary software MasonOS. We serve customers in aerospace, defence and wider critical industries," founder and CEO of Isembard, Alexander Fitzgerald, commented.
