CEE Startups Of The Month - VIII 2022

After looking at the diverse multisector startups from our past two editions - in July and June, the time has come for a new round of selected and handpicked companies chosen throughout August.

As usual, we highlighted the most exciting startups from Central & Eastern Europe worth your attention - let’s find out what they’re all about!

Angry Building

The first on the list, Angry Building, is a facility management platform to streamline and simplify landlord-tenant interaction. The main problem the company is tackling is outdated and unnecessarily manual property management processes. To help with that, Angry Building offers an all-in-one solution for invoicing, reporting, and landlord/tenants communication. Consequently, both sides of the relationship can interact more quickly and efficiently. 

CTHINGS

The next on our list, CTHINGS, is an IoT device and management platform for industrial environments. Using the company’s many products, a business can quickly and easily gather and analyze the data around its facilities to obtain actionable insights. Therefore, CTHINGS enables more control and productivity for the client’s facilities.

Sagenso

Sagenso is a cybersecurity startup providing a platform for continuous monitoring and cyber threat detection. To help secure their clients, Sagenso offers a way of continuously tracking all inbound and outbound traffic across the company’s applications while also making a thorough vulnerability audit and providing custom recommendations. As a result, Sagenso’s users can streamline and simplify the protection against cyber/digital threats more quickly and systematically. 

Talent Alpha

Talent Alpha is a tech talent and marketplace platform for medium and enterprise customers. The problem the startup helps to address is IT talent shortages affecting most modern enterprises. To help solve that, Talent Alpha has developed a platform to continuously screen, test, and offer talent-as-a-service on an ongoing basis. As a result, the small and medium software houses can get their hands on new projects while the enterprise clients can quickly hire an engineering team to work on the company projects. 

Secfense

A forthcoming startup on the list, Secfense is a Polish cybersecurity startup helping build multi-factor authentication for businesses. Using the company’s software, companies can easily protect their data across all their software in a quick and no-code environment. As a result, one’s cybersecurity team can safeguard the company’s assets and focus on things more important than tackling a standard password or authentication breach.

Fracture Labs

An up-and-coming startup, Fracture Labs is a gaming studio developing DECIMATED - a web3 open-world videogame in a cyberpunk setting. At its core, DECIMATED is a play-to-earn game with elements of an open world and real incentives for purchasing and holding in-game assets, and their creation. Overall, DECIMATED seems to be a pretty interesting case of a next-generation game providing tangible incentives for exploring the world not only through gaming experiences but real ownership and act of creation.

Twire

The next on the list, Twire is a gaming startup providing display statistics for esports tournaments. With Twire, esports organizations can give their fans the ability to easily retrieve and analyze the performance of their favorite teams, all the while saving money and effort on doing it manually. As a result, tournaments and gaming competitions can engage their fans while saving costs associated with the manual collection and ordering of these statistics.

ClevgoDriver

ClevgoDriver is a startup working in a jobs marketplace for a high turnover (87% yearly) segment of truck drivers. With ClevgoDriver, the trucking companies can easily filter candidates across precise parameters, then find their contacts, and basically, find and hire the right people to do the job. So, drivers and trucking companies can connect with each over and start cooperating with much less hassle and effort.

Mitomarin

The next startup on the list, Mitomarin, is a bio- and foodtech firm focusing on mitochondrial science and the commercialization of a superconcentrated extract as a Novel Food. Mitochondria are so much more than the powerhouse of the cell: they play a central role in maintaining cellular health as sentinels and reducing the risk of various diseases, including cancer. As a result, Mitomarin's first novel food candidate aims to supplement our contemporary diets and significantly increase a healthy lifespan.

Nacview

Nacview is a cybersecurity platform for network access management. With Nacview, the system administrators can easily define who, when, and on what devices people can access the network, effectively mitigating the risks of network breaches and hacks. As a result, Nacview users can experience a safer and more secure internet browsing experience.
