San Francisco- and Warsaw-based TesterArmy, a platform using AI agents to test web and mobile applications, has raised $1.2 million in a pre-seed round backed by Y Combinator, AIP Seed, Eight Capital, and Script Capital, as Vestbee was informed.
- Founded in 2025 by Szymon Rybczak and Oskar Kwaśniewski, TesterArmy develops AI agents that test software through real user journeys without requiring teams to write or maintain test scripts. The agents can interact with web and mobile applications, including handling logins that require email or SMS verification codes.
- The platform does not require access to a company’s source code. Teams can provide a URL or an installable mobile app, describe the desired user journey in plain language, and run a test within minutes. TesterArmy can also connect to GitHub or CI pipelines to automatically test applications after code changes.
- The company said its platform is already used by more than 50 clients, ranging from seed-stage startups to Series C companies, including Resend, bolt.new, Novu, CodeCrafters, Rork, and Nando’s.
Details of the deal
- The round also included angel investors such as Guillermo Rauch, founder of Vercel; Walden Yan, co-founder of Cognition; Charlie Cheever, CEO of Expo and co-founder of Quora; Zeno Rocha, founder of Resend; Fernando Rojo, Head of v0 at Vercel; and Fryderyk Wiatrowski, CEO of Viktor.
- With the fresh capital, the firm aims to expand its team and scale its platform to serve hundreds of companies, helping engineering teams automate testing across web and mobile applications without writing or maintaining test scripts.
