Madrid-based startup Golden Owl, which develops advanced external intelligence and OSINT solutions, has raised €1.4 million in a seed round led by First Drop to scale its anticipatory intelligence platform, aimed at spotting complex trends in information, geopolitics, and business, as Vestbee was informed.
- Founded in 2023 by Ana Beik and Sabi Soltani, Golden Owl develops an external intelligence operating system using advanced OSINT and multi-agent artificial intelligence. The technology has a dual-use approach, supporting both security and defense operations as well as business intelligence. It enables detection of hybrid threats and influence campaigns, protection of critical infrastructure, forensic intelligence investigations, identification of networks and coordinated behavior, dynamic monitoring of supply chains, geopolitical and market analysis, and detection of unfair competition or hidden market dynamics.
- Golden Owl’s technology is built on a modular Intelligence-as-a-Service (IaaS) architecture with three key solutions:
- Noctua, a platform for research and structured analysis
- Strix, a continuous strategic intelligence system for monitoring, early detection, and tracking of risks and actors
- Otus (upcoming), a human intelligence marketplace for expert-driven investigations.
- The system uses hundreds of specialized AI agents and integrates data from the open, deep, and dark web to turn fragmented signals into actionable intelligence for decision-making in sectors such as security, industry, logistics, and public administration.
Details of the deal
- The seed round was supported by First Drop as the lead investor, along with business angels and public funding programs, including ENISA and the NEOTEC grant from CDTI.
- Golden Owl will use the €1.4 million to enhance its technology, expand access to diverse web sources, and accelerate deployment in sectors such as energy, logistics, industry, security, and the public sector, while improving its ability to detect hybrid risks and complex dynamics and turn fragmented data into actionable intelligence.
