S-Transistors secures €2.6M to scale quantum computing with superconducting transistors

Espoo-based deeptech startup S-Transistors, a VTT spinout developing superconducting transistors for scalable quantum computing, has raised €2.6 million in pre-seed funding led by Lifeline Ventures, with participation from an angel investor.

  • Launched in 2026 by Heorhii Bohuslavskyi, Andrey Generalov, and Markus Lehtisalo, S-Transistors is developing a new class of integrated circuits based on superconducting transistors.
  • The technology combines transistor functionality with the ultra-low power dissipation of superconductors, aiming to address a key hardware challenge in scaling cryogenic quantum computers.
  • S-Transistors aims to move classical control electronics closer to the quantum processor and into the cryogenic environment. Its technology is designed to operate at extremely low temperatures while reducing the power consumption and physical footprint of quantum control systems.
  • The company’s first product is a superconducting-transistor-based multiplexer designed to plug into existing cryogenic setups and simplify signal routing and delivery. S-Transistors plans to ship the product to early customers and strategic partners within its first year of operation.

Details of the deal

  • The fresh capital will be used to develop product prototypes for cryogenic signal control, establish a dedicated cryogenic laboratory, set up a pilot manufacturing line, and expand the team.
