Romanian startup Kinderpedia secures €2.2M to expand AI-powered school platform globally

Bucharest-based school management and communication platform Kinderpedia secured €2.2 million in a funding round led by Simpact Ventures, with participation from Early Game Ventures and ROCA X. The round will remain open for five months to allow additional co-investors to join, as Vestbee was informed.

  • Launched in 2015 by Daniel Rogoz, Evelina Necula, and Valentin Ilea, Kinderpedia is an AI-powered school management platform and student information system for K–12 schools and preschools.
  • The platform centralizes academic, administrative, and financial operations, enabling teachers to plan lessons, track attendance and developmental milestones, monitor student progress, and reduce over nine hours of administrative work per week. Parents receive real-time updates, strengthening collaboration and transparency between families and schools.
  • Cloud-based and multilingual, including a fully available Arabic app, Kinderpedia supports secure payment processing, data storage, and customizable workflows across multiple locations. AI tools embedded into daily operations generate insights, suggest content, and improve reporting, while maintaining strict privacy and ethical standards.
  • Trusted by over 2,000 schools in more than 40 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and LATAM, Kinderpedia serves a community of more than half a million educators, parents, and school leaders.

Details of the deal

  • The funding round was led by Simpact Ventures, a Polish venture capital firm focused on impact investing in early-stage startups across Central and Eastern Europe, and included participation from Early Game Ventures, a Romanian VC supporting innovative tech startups, and ROCA X, a seed-stage investor backing high-growth ventures in the region.

“Kinderpedia tackles a fundamental challenge in education systems: enabling meaningful collaboration between schools and families at scale. We’re proud to lead this round and support the company’s expansion into new international markets," explains Jacek Ostrowski, Partner at Simpact Ventures.

  • The firm plans to expand internationally, especially in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, improve AI-powered features for schools and teachers, enhance multilingual support including Arabic, simplify school operations, reduce administrative work, personalize learning, grow its team, and work toward a €30 million revenue by 2030.
